willow are a four piece indie rock band hailing from Edinburgh. willow s music has been likened to acts as diverse as the Stereophonics, Feeder, Radiohead and muse. Most of the time, refreshingly, willow cannot be placed with established acts as willow have an original and fresh sound. Think rock, with pop melodies and harmonies, add a twist and thats willow. willow want to get their music known for brilliant records and blistering live performances. Sadly, it seems, these days the easiest way to be successful in the industry is to copy or imitate others before you, treading paths already discovered. willow don't believe in that, and willow have earned a reputation as one of Edinburgh's best bands. From the start feeling about willow was unusually good. willow s debut EP 'most of what follows is true…' was fantastically received. willow s fan base swelled with local radio play, resulting in assorted management scratching at willow s door and being asked to support Psychid and Berkeley, label mates of The Electric Soft Parade and Jimmy Eat World respectively. willow then had to decide where to go next….. In early June 2003 willow signed with Unaware Management. willow polished their live performances with a series of gigs including Glasgow Barfly, the Venue and The Commplex, in Edinburgh, showcasing willow s exciting new material. In October 2003 willow recorded this second release. The recording captures willow s versatility, talent and innovative sound - only willow s youthful good looks (sic) betray the band's average age of 19.
